How to use the AI Background Remover
Quickly remove backgrounds from any image using our AI-powered Background Remover — perfect for product photos, profile pictures, marketing materials, and more.
🧭 Overview
The AI Background Remover automatically detects the subject in an image and removes the background with pixel precision. No manual editing required.
Use it for:
- E-commerce product listings
- Transparent PNGs for design
- Headshots for LinkedIn or ID cards
- Creative compositions
Available via the Web Interface and the API.
📤 Step 1: Upload Your Image
Click Upload Image and select any file in the following formats:
- JPG, PNG, or WebP
- Maximum size: 20 MB
- Recommended resolution: 500–5000 pixels on longest side
Once uploaded, the image will be processed automatically.
🪄 Step 2: Remove the Background
Our AI will:
- Detect the main subject (person, object, animal, etc.)
- Remove the background
- Apply feathered edges for a natural look
Processing time: ~1–3 seconds depending on image size
🎨 Step 3: Customize (Optional)
After background removal, you can:

Each background removal consumes 2 AI credits (regardless of image size, up to 4 megapixels).
Some advanced features (e.g., background replacement or high-res upscaling) may use additional credits.
